  Steve joined Schell & Hogan, LLP in January of 1983, shortly after graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration as an accounting major. Steve was licensed in 1985 by the State of Georgia as a CPA and became a partner of Schell & Hogan, LLP in 1992. He now specializes in corporate tax and functions as a qualified intermediary for 1031 exchanges. When it comes to his work, Steve prides himself on his analytical and organizational skills. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the Federation of Exchange Accommodators.
  Steve and his wife Lawanda (Lou) have four children and Four grandchildren. He serves as treasurer for his church, New Life Sanctuary, and makes time to volunteer with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful. In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and running. He has competed in a dozen half-marathons.

  After graduating from Georgia Southern in 1986 with a BBA in Accounting, Clint joined the Schell & Hogan, LLP team in June of that year. In 1991, Clint earned his CPA license and became partner in January 1997. Clint is the managing partner of Schell & Hogan, LLP and specializes in estate, trust, and individual tax planning and administration. Clint is a people person, and his firm responsibilities allow him to experience his passion for people and accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). Clint and his wife Lynn have a daughter Martie, son-in-law Colton, and grandson Cameron. Clint is an active member of his church, The Chapel. In his free time, he likes to travel, hunt, fish, and spend time with his dog.

  Don moved to Glynn County when he was hired by Schell & Hogan, LLP in July of 1986. A graduate of the University of Georgia (BS in Accounting), Don became a partner at the firm in 1997 and now specializes in business and individual tax as well as auditing and accounting. With more than three decades of experience, Don prides himself on his attention to detail and a willingness to take on nearly any task. Don is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA).
  Don and his wife have two adopted daughters, Mikayla and Grace. He attends CenterPoint Church and in his free time he enjoys reading, playing fantasy baseball and spending time with his family.

  Originally from Alma, Ga, René has lived in Glynn County since coming to work for Schell & Hogan, LLP in 1982. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, René became a partner in 2008 and she now specializes in taxation of trusts and estates, individuals, and businesses. When it comes to her work, René is detail oriented and relishes opportunities to assist others in making sound financial decisions while also considering the tax impact of those decisions. René is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA).

  Married since 1986, René and her husband Rick have grown children Rachel, Natalie, and Dow. René serves on the Board of Communities of Coastal GA Foundation and is very involved with her church, Frederica Baptist Church. In her free time, René loves being outside on the beach, on a boat, in the water snorkeling, or anywhere with wide open spaces where she can see the sunsets.

  Hugh has lived in Glynn County for 24 years, though not all those years have been in accounting. Hugh earned a degree in Mathematics and Computer Technology from Valdosta State University and taught math for three years prior to entering the accounting field. Hugh earned a degree in Accounting from Brenau University and has experience working in government audits. He joined Schell & Hogan, LLP in July of 2005 and became a partner in 2012. He now specializes in corporate and individual tax and brings his easy communication style and analytical skills to the team. Hugh is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). Hugh now functions as a qualified intermediary for 1031 exchanges.

  In addition to being a father to Griffin, Grace and Greta, and grandchildren Cedric and Tobias. Hugh is active in Rotary and his church, CenterPoint Church. As a team member of Golden Isles Endurance, Hugh loves pushing his physical limits. In his leisure time, Hugh enjoys stand-up paddle boarding, mountain biking and camping.

  Dustin moved to Glynn County in 2006 and joined Schell & Hogan, LLP in 2014. He’s worked in the accounting field since 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia and BBA in Accounting from Valdosta State University. Dustin became a partner in 2019 and specializes in individual tax, privately owned businesses, and closely held corporations. Dustin is a positive individual who brings a lot of personality to the accounting field. He loves people and enjoys the opportunity to form long-term relationships with our clients. Dustin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA).

  Dustin and his wife Stacy have a daughter, Whitney. They attend St. Simons Community Church and are active in the Gathering Place. In his free time, Dustin enjoys traveling, boating and spending quality time with his family.
